Cookie and Tracking Technologies Notice
Last updated: 17 September 2026
This notice explains how Friday Promotions Limited, trading as We Are Friday, uses cookies and other storage and access technologies on the We Are Friday website.
1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small files stored on a device. Websites can also use scripts, tags, pixels, local storage and similar technologies to store or access information. We use the term 'cookies' in this notice as shorthand for these technologies where appropriate.
2. The categories we use
Necessary
These technologies are required for core website functions, security, form operation, fraud prevention or to remember privacy choices. They are used only where necessary for those purposes.
Analytics
We use analytics to understand how people find and use the website, which pages are useful, where journeys break down, and how the site performs. Our intended launch stack includes Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, managed where appropriate through Google Tag Manager.
We require Analytics consent before Google Analytics 4 or Microsoft Clarity loads. Microsoft Clarity may provide heatmaps and session-level interaction information. We configure it with appropriate masking so that form contents and other sensitive information are not intentionally captured.
Marketing
We do not intend to activate advertising, remarketing or social-media tracking technologies at launch merely because our analytics tools support them. If we later use Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Meta Pixel or similar technologies, we will place them in a separate Marketing category, obtain consent before they load where required, and update this notice.
3. Tools we expect to use
- Google Analytics 4: website traffic, acquisition, engagement and conversion measurement. We intend to configure user-level and event-level retention to 14 months.
- Google Tag Manager: deployment and management of measurement tags. The container itself does not give permission for other tags to load. Analytics and Marketing tags must respect the relevant consent choice.
- Microsoft Clarity: heatmaps and session-level interaction insights used to improve user experience, subject to Analytics consent and configured to protect form and sensitive content.
- Consent-preference storage: used to remember the privacy choices you make.
The exact cookies, identifiers and durations can change when providers update their services. The live cookie preferences interface should provide the current operational list where technically available.
4. Your choices
On your first visit, you can accept all non-essential technologies, reject non-essential technologies, or manage your preferences. Necessary technologies remain active where they are required for the website to function. A 'Cookie settings' link remains available in the website footer so that you can change your choice later.
If you withdraw Analytics or Marketing consent, the relevant non-essential technologies will stop loading from that point onwards. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that took place while valid consent was in force. It also does not automatically delete information already collected by a provider, although applicable data-protection rights may still be available to you.
5. Google and Microsoft
Google and Microsoft may process information as providers of the analytics services described above. Their processing may involve international transfers. We configure our use of these services for website measurement and user-experience improvement and do not intentionally enable advertising or remarketing features unless separately required, disclosed and consented to.
6. Browser controls
Browser settings can block or delete cookies, although doing so may affect some website functions. Browser-level privacy signals do not replace the choices offered through our website unless we expressly state that a particular signal is supported.
7. Changes
We may update this notice when our website or measurement tools change. We will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, refresh consent choices.
8. Contact
